Aretha Sadick
The artist from Rio de Janeiro, manifests herself through the scene as an interpreter and creator of images in performance, music and technologies of the word, pointing to the urgency in the resumption of power of black transgender people in the construction of their images and their imaginaries to produce healing. Aretha Sadick has participated in debates and residencies in Brazil and abroad, addressing the possibilities of transition of black corporeities. Her most recent production, Stone Sung (Pedra Cantada), develops from a new phase in the artist's life and research; it evokes the spiritual armaments necessary for the transposition of our time, invoking decolonial energies in the form of Axé, of Xirê, transgender and non-normative corporealities and Ancestral Languages.
